One of the earliest AR games built on Apple’s ARKit, Crazy Monsters Strike let players battle cartoon-style monsters in their real-world environment. Developed for Dweek Studios, it blended fast-paced action with cutting-edge AR gameplay.

Challenge:
Dweek Studios approached Macrobian to create an AR-based mobile shooter that would serve as one of the launch titles for Apple’s ARKit. The challenge was to build a technically solid, fun-to-play game using emerging AR tools — all within a tight launch window, with no precedent for ARKit-based gameplay.

Solution:
Macrobian Games developed Crazy Monsters Strike, an AR shooter where players aim their device around their real-world space to find and strike animated monsters. Built using Unity and Apple’s ARKit, the game introduced gesture-based targeting, depth-aware object placement, and cartoon-style art that fit naturally into real-world scenes. As one of the earliest ARKit games, it demonstrated Macrobian’s ability to work with experimental tech while delivering polished user experiences.

SmartTrak VR

VR Digital Twin of Solar Farm

A virtual reality simulation that recreates a full-scale solar farm, SmartTrak VR allows users to explore the site and interact with real-time instrument data. Built as a digital twin, it bridges field operations with immersive monitoring.

The client needed a VR solution that could simulate their solar farm operations and enable remote technicians to visualize and monitor real-time data from instruments like inverters, trackers, and weather stations. The system had to replicate spatial layout accurately while allowing real-time IoT data access.

Solution:
Macrobian Games developed SmartTrak VR, a full-scale digital twin of a functioning solar farm. Built in Unity for Oculus VR, the simulation enables users to navigate the virtual site, inspect solar panels and equipment, and access live readings pulled from connected sensors. The experience helped reduce on-site visits, streamline training, and provide immersive diagnostics — showcasing the power of VR in energy operations.

Macrobian Games developed a suite of AR-enabled flashcards and storybooks as part of the BBKids brand. Using a smartphone or tablet, children scan printed cards or books to trigger animated 3D scenes, voiceovers, and sound effects. Topics range from environmental science (e.g. water cycle, endangered animals) to daily life themes told through AR narratives. The result: multisensory learning that enhances attention span, improves retention, and makes complex ideas playful and intuitive.
